INTERNATIONAL Needs Uganda director Justus Miwanda will begin his visit to Warrnambool and Port Campbell this weekend.

The Anglican minister’s visit is part of a two-month national tour of Australia, sharing information about the organisation and raising funds for poor Ugandan communities.

In particular, he will be seeking donors and child sponsors for the overseas aid and development agency, which organises and leads mission trips to Uganda.

International Needs said its child sponsorship program allowed more than 2000 children in the country’s southern district of Mukono to attend school and receive a high-quality education. Funding also enables the organisation to build and maintain community health care clinics.

International Needs also assists in training farmers, teaching them how to cultivate their crops most efficiently.

Reverend Miwanda will speak at the Gateway Church of Christ in Warrnambool from 6.30pm on Sunday.

He will then head to Port Campbell, where he will speak at the Baptist Church on Tuesday.
